Adding lipids back into the skin is a very smart way to strengthen the skin. Think of lipids in the upper layer of the skin as being protectors and shock absorbers for the collagen and elastin based lower layer. Sensitive and unbalanced skin often just requires lipids like these to balance it out. No one with oily skin should be using a moisturizer at all.
