A strong mineral sunscreen with a combination of 13% Zinc and Titanium. An excellent choice for lighter facial skin tones and any exposed body parts. It is not a moisturizer - just a sunscreen.

The best sunscreen is made up of inorganic compounds - aka MINERALS....Why? Because minerals contain no carbon like all other sunscreen compounds. Carbon based sunscreen compounds are therefore known as organic. Anything organic contains carbon. Carbon is the basis of all life. Humans and the rest of the animal kingdom (on land and in water), as well as all plants, are carbon based. Anything carbon based will be broken down by UV rays from the sun. Inorganic compounds (minerals) are not broken down by the sun.  It goes without saying then that inorganic minerals are the best form of sunscreen....PERIOD.

It provides full spectrum UVA and UVB protection. The iron oxides are in the formula to take away the typical 'ghostly whiteness' of zinc and titanium.

A minimum of 10% combined zinc and titanium is ideal in a sunscreen. Many companies will try and claim to be mineral based but have only 3 or 4% minerals in them and then fill in the balance with organic (carbon based) sunscreen ingredients. That just does not cut it with me. By the way, silicone is also inorganic because it is not carbon based.

Extremely light skin tones will prefer this to the slightly darker tint in TiZO3. Most light skin tones find this product to be 'heaven-sent' because it is not greasy, thick, and shiny like most other sunscreens. If you need moisturizing anywhere on your face then use a separate moisturizer. Very few people have skin that requires a combined sunscreen and moisturizer.

The manufacturer describes it as follows: Utilizes micronized titanium dioxide and zinc oxide as its only active sunscreen ingredients. It is free of dyes, fragrance and organic (carbon based) sunscreen filters to minimize skin sensitivity. Excellent for children and those with sensitive skin, while offering significant water and sweat resistant properties. Elegant, highly protective and effective for daily use, it leaves the skin soft, smooth and UVA/UVB protected.
